Yama Sushi

I just ordered from Yama Sushi for the first time and I am very impressed! Food was on time, correct and excellent (edamame, dragon roll, maguro and hamachi nigiri). I use grubhub all the time and I don't think the delays are the restaurant's fault. Just be aware of when you order and remember that 5pm on a rainy Friday night might take a while. I noticed a while ago that the deliveries seem to be done by restaurant employees (i.e., same folks show up from same restaurants and visa versa and round table guy had on a round table shirt) even though when I asked one of the delivery folks, he said, "I am a Grubhub employee, not of the restaurant". Why would they lie about that?

Im giving it 5 stars because for the price, I was satisfied with my order. It did take longer (but still within the estimated time) that I was used to whenever I order here, but the cooked/baked food was still warm/hot and my items were fresh. I ordered from another Sushi place yesterday (which used to be my favorite in the city), and my fried kaki tasted stale and my sashimi was warm. Yama Sushi was definitely better food, better experience and less expensive!

The sake kama was crispy and delicious! The California roll was made with brown rice, as I requested (unlike Go Sushi which appears to use soy sauce-colored white rice). The salmon sashimi was good. My order came on time (in fact, a little early). I would definitely order from Yama Sushi again

Tried this place for the first time and had a great sushi experience. Large portion on the Chicken Stir Fried Udon, sushi was well made, everything was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be ordering from here again when I have a sushi craving.

I don't get why everyone hates on this place it is so good. Super fair prices and food is always on time or early. I really like this place. California rolls are my go to and the baked mussels are delicious. Great place A+

It's a Friday before a holiday and unfortunately my order got horribly delayed, so I called the company. I spoke to Grace, who was very sweet and honest, and she told me it was very busy, so I told her I'd wait little longer. I ended up calling back after another hour and so of waiting, and she apologized and realized they missed my order... However, Grace was able to help me receive my order fresh, a free side dish, and even delivered it to me herself! At that moment I really wished I had cash on me because she deserves a reward for excellent customer service. I wrote a bad review about their food a month ago, but Grace made me really want to continue to order at Yama Sushi again. I hope they are treating her well! Thank you so much for your help!! I will be putting this review on Yelp or wherever, just so they know how thankful I am to Grace!

I turn to these ladies for their tasty and affordable specialty rolls. This has become a consistent staple comfort food for me. I find their sashimi quality a bit inconsistent, and the beef in their yakatori or udon a bit gristly. But their rolls are reliably scrumptious, and priced such that you can afford to get a couple more.

One of the best sushi delivery places on Seamless in the Sunset, I order from here whenever I want sushi. Always the same high quality.
